Prof TPr Dr Jamalunlaili Abdullah is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Industry, Community and Alumni Linkages at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. He is a also a Professor of Urban and Regional Planning as well as past Assistant Vice Chancellor of College of Built Environment, UiTM, an institution he joined in 1997 after completing his PhD at Cornell University, New York.
Professionally he is a registered Town Planner and serves as a member of Board of Town Planners Malaysia and Advisory Board of Malaysian Institute of Planners. He is an urban development expert in Malaysia since he has been involved in almost 40 consultancy and contract research projects, presented almost 100 papers including as keynote and invited speakers and published more than 80 papers especially those related to Urban Development. He has been appointed as technical advisor and expert to various government and private entities in Malaysia. In addition he is currently the Commanding Officer of KD Sri Klang, the largest reservist training unit for Royal Malaysian Navy with the rank of Captain.
