Important Notes on Travel Arrangement : 

Participants are reminded to strictly adhere to the provided transportation schedule during the Petra International Conference on Sustainable Cities and Regions (PICSCAR). Any delays resulting from participant mistakes may result in the inability to access the designated travel services. In the event of lateness, participants are encouraged to make their personal arrangements promptly, preferably with prior notification to the committee, to ensure minimal disruption to their travel plans and conference experience.

        • Estimated Time: Approximately 25-35 minutes
        • Cost: Around IDR 100,000 to IDR 150,000
      • By Airport Shuttle (DAMRI):
        • Estimated Time: Approximately 35-45 minutes
        • Cost: Around IDR 50,000 to IDR 70,000

        • Estimated Time: Approximately 25-35 minutes

  2. From Novotel Samator East Surabaya to Surabaya City Hall for Welcoming Dinner (June 4th, 2024)

    • Provided by the committee.
    • To ensure a comfortable and well-prepared arrival, we kindly request all participants to check in at Novotel Samator no later than 2:30 PM on June 4th, 2024. This early check-in will allow ample time for rest and dressing after your flight(s), ensuring you feel refreshed and presentable before departure from the hotel at 4:30 PM to the Surabaya Mayor’s Office for the welcome dinner.
    • Round Trip Schedule:
      • Departure from Hotel: 4:30 PM (Please be ready 30 minutes before departure)
      • Dinner Concludes: 9:00 PM
      • Return to Hotel: After the dinner event concludes

  3. From Novotel Samator East Surabaya to Petra Christian University (Conference Venue) on Conference Day (June 5th, 2024)

    • Provided by the committee.
    • Round Trip Schedule:
      • Departure from Hotel: 7:30 AM (Please be ready 30 minutes before departure)
      • Conference Concludes: 5:30 PM
      • Return to Hotel: 5:30 PM (or as scheduled after the conference sessions)

  4. From Novotel Samator East Surabaya to Excursion Spot for City Excursion (June 6th, 2024) – Free of Charge, this is part of the conference.

    • Provided by the committee.
    • On June 6, 2024, we have planned an exciting City Excursion for all participants. Please note that departure from the hotel to the excursion spot will be at 8:00 AM sharp. To ensure a smooth transition, we kindly ask all participants to check out of the hotel early and place their belongings with the hotel concierge. Our team will assist you with this process. If you manage to stay longer at the hotel, you can disregard this arrangement.
    • Schedule:
      • Departure from Hotel: 8:00 AM (Please be ready 30 minutes before departure)
      • Return to Hotel: After the city excursion concludes (3:00 PM)

General Tips:

  • Public Transportation: While public buses are available, they are less convenient for travelers unfamiliar with the area and language. Ride-hailing services and taxis are recommended for ease and comfort.
  • Language: Most taxi drivers and ride-hailing service drivers understand basic English. However, having the address written in Indonesian can be helpful.
  • Safety: Always use reputable taxi services or verified ride-hailing apps. Ensure the meter is running if using a traditional taxi.
